About Us


For coordinating with the governmental policies to develop the information industry and corresponding with the demands of enterprise in information manpower, the department of information management (DIM) was founded in 1994 to provide two-year college DIM program.


Till 2002, four-year undergraduate DIM program was started. Actually, information systems professionals face the challenges of providing reliable, accurate and timely information to meet the demands of enterprise's growing dependence on information technology.


For raising more advanced and competent information systems professionals, DIM is merged with the Institute of Research Development and Technology Management to start the master program and names as the Institute of Research Development and Information Management (RDIM) in 2009.


The aim of RDIM is to raise the talented research development and information management for enterprise needs. Currently, there are 16 full-time faculty members (4 professors, 5 associate professors, 6 assistant professors, and 1 lecturers). Two-third of them holds Ph.D. degrees in relevant information management areas, and the others are in the process to get the equivalent status.


The faculties of the DIM are extending the frontiers of knowledge through their research on the applications and developments of information systems, the development of green technology, and many other information and management issues vital to today’s enterprises.


We especially value research with immediate application in the real world and, as a result, our projects often lead to new technologies and ideas that benefit industry and the public, especially in the applications of green technology.


The Department will continue recruiting the competent faculty members to seek academic excellence and industrial vitality.
